แต่ขณะที่เด็กลูกเสือ 2 คน เดินอยู่บนก้อนหิน จู่ ๆ ก็ถูกทรายดูดลงไป พร้อมก้อนหินจนร่างจมไปในน้ำ เพื่อน ๆ ลูกเสือและเนตรนารีที่เดินตามกันมาตกใจเป็นอย่างมาก และได้มีเด็กนักเรียนชั้น ป.4 และ ป. 5 ป.6 ประมาณ 4 คน ได้กระโดดลงไปช่วยเหลือเพื่อน จนจมน้ำไปด้วยกันทั้ง6คน

ทั้งนี้ ตามรายงานข่าวทราบว่า มีลูกเสือและเนตนารี ประมาณ 2-3 ราย เป็นลม หมดสติ ซึ่งขณะนี้ ลูกเสือและเนตนารี ทั้ง 6 คน อยู่ในความดูแลรักษาของแพทย์โรงพยาบาล และมีบางราย อาการไม่หนักมาก กลับบ้านแล้ว
